frequeNC (fr![]()

is a record label based in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
We sell hand silk-screened, e.p.-length, vinyl records and give away digital music for free.
We also host, organize, and participate in parties and events in the triangle area and elsewhere.
Our goals are:
- to release unique, diverse music by unique, diverse people for gatherings, home listening, and
DANCING,
- to support inspiring southern artists and to collaborate with non-southern artists in hopes of
participating in a vibrant, hopeful, progressive southern culture,
- continue to work toward the best dj-quality vinyl possible,
- to assert that copyright law is not designed for the protection of artists and support the
inherent right of the individual to own and appropriate from their own life experiences,
- to incorporate our favorite characteristics of electronic dance music labels and indie/punk labels
and to be a bridge between these and other music communities,
- to embrace the cohabitation and union of digital and analog systems,
-
to be nice,
- and to not be this serious most of the time.
